As a student, no matter how old, you can get a Metrocard for use on all buses and trains in West Yorkshire. Metrocards are also available from any Post Office. Once you come out of the railway station walk straight across the square. Continue straight ahead on the crossing to New Street Nat West bank will be on your right. Turn left onto King Street and continue straight. Turn right onto Queen Street and walk along the pavement passing Lawrence Batley Theatre on your left. Continue to the end of the road and cross using the pedestrian crossing.
Continue straight ahead and you will see the University entrance. Alternatively, you can use the Huddersfield free town bus that passes by the bus and train stations and stops near the University's main entrance.
